The Rainforest Resort in Athirapally presented a very unique natural context. On one hand was the overpowering beauty of the Athirapally waterfalls, which directly overlooked the site; and on the other, the design had to take into consideration the steeply sloping contours of the site. The resolution of these unique factors manifested in a design that is organized as a series of four different levels that transverse with minimum intervention along the contours of the site.
