This single storeyed residence is located on the banks of the idyllic backwaters in Cochin, Kerala. The client required an intimate, open and functional residence for his young family. Taking this into consideration the design is resolved as a series of 3 bays opening out onto the waterbody, with landscaped courtyards in between. These bays are interconnected by a porous linear corridor at the centre, creating a central vista leading out onto the landscape.
