Cap Ternay
Seychelles
The $300 million resort at Cap Ternay in Seychelles was one of the largest hospitality projects in the Indian Ocean Region. Located in one of the most breathtakingly beautiful natural sites, the project area was nestled in a valley between two adjoining hillocks, with natural bays defining the other two sides and opening up the expanse of the pristine blue waters.

The resort was thus spread out on the area defined on either side by the nature reserves on the mountains and the sparkling waters of the marine conservation area on the other sides.

The approach to design was guided by the conscious decision to mitigate the impact on the environment while accommodating the large requirements of the program. The design language thus drew inspiration from the vernacular architecture of Seychelles to arrive at an appropriate and sensitive intervention.
